DAY 0
Getting tested for coronavirus to be safe.
DAY 1
On day one I woke up at 5:30 to get there on time. The deal was to get to the starting point at 7:30 am. I arrived 2nd; only my friend Karla with her mother arrived before me and afterwards arrived Chiara and the crowd began to grow. By 7:30 almost everyone was there. We got onto the bus, I sat in the 4th row with Pina, while Karla and Jana were a row behind us. Unfortunately, and to everyone’s despair, a student who I will not name was late, so instead of at 8 am we started our journey around 8:30 am.
Dora F., part 1
My friend Monica was saving me a seat, so I sat next to her and the bus ride started. We had a lot of fun during the ride, we listened to music and played some games. On our first stop at a gas station, me and my friends went to buy some things and sat down in the park nearby. Our first real destination was National Park Krka. There we saw beautiful lakes and waterfalls. I went to a coffee shop with my friends to start planning our free time during our stay in Vodice. My friend had a vintage camera with her, so for the rest of the stay there we were taking pictures of each other and we had a good time.
Sara I.
During our free time on Krka, I bought a souvenir and talked to Karla about how ridiculous it is to PAY for the toilet. After the break, we started our way back to the bus during which I almost died, because stairs aren’t my strong suit and I have no stamina. On the bus, our German professor said that upon arriving at the hotel- a shower is a must because we all stink because of our hormones (I’m not gonna lie, I immediately smelled my armpits, but thankfully, I wasn’t smelly).
Dora F., part 2
Then we went to our hotel in Vodice. It was called Hotel Imperial. When we settled in our rooms we went straight to the pool. The pool was big and it had an amazing DJ. The dinner was at 8 pm.
Chiara L., part 1
We had a big range of food served. At the entrance, you could see the cooks serving food, in the middle, there was a table with salads, desserts and other things. If you wanted to drink water, you needed to enter the kitchen counter and get a pitcher. Me and my friends sat outside, honestly, I don’t remember what we ate. After dinner, I took a shower because I was really sweaty and got ready to go out. First, the whole school went to a club with the teachers, but in the end, our class went to the blue bridges to play truth or dare. The bridges were very beautiful- during the day they were normal bridges on the sea, but at night they had LED lights so they shined blue. We came back very late at night. Me and Sara brushed our teeth and talked for a while before going to sleep, my eyes were closing and I was really tired, and so was Sara, so we went to sleep.

DAY 2
I woke up a bit grumpy. Laura set up an alarm for 7 am so that we have time to get ready. I went to the bathroom to brush my teeth and get ready. My throat was very dry and sore so I was very upset and didn’t really want to eat breakfast. A few of my classmates came to my room so we talked a bit. In the end, I did eat something and we all met up so we could go catch the boat for the Kornati. We started walking towards the boat and we talked with our English and Psychology teachers and I got a bit frustrated because Monica was talking about some dumb stuff, as always, but it was pretty funny though. As we were getting on the boat, people that worked there asked us what we would like to eat and I said meat and sat on the first free bench as well as Laura, Monica, Sara and Jan.
Jana I., part 1
We had a good boat ride of 2 hours and we played card games and chilled with music. When we sailed around the Kornati until we arrived in Telašćica Nature Park on Dugi otok. We walked a little bit to a viewpoint and after that we had 2 hours of free time for swimming or something else. We swam both in the salty lake and in the sea. We had lunch on the boat and the lunch was solid.
Mario R., part 1
When we finally came to Vodice my friends and I had a lot of energy and decided to go for a drink. We sat down at the first cafe but this rude bartender didn’t want to serve us so we got mad and left. We walked around and I saw the aquarium sign on the street and got the idea that we should go see it! It was great. We saw fish, small sharks a lot of cool snakes, shells, boats and this big fake (but real) turtle! After that we went to the hotel and I really wanted to call Uber but there were some technical difficulties so we ended up walking. When we got to the hotel rooms I lay in bed.
Jana I., part 2
At the hotel we had time to go to the pool and the gym or to take a nap. We had dinner again around 8pm and after dinner we got ready and went out again. I could say that my best time was in the room because my friend and I were having fun listening to music.

Kornati National Park and Telašćica Nature Park
NP Kornati consists of 89 islands and cliffs and forms the most indented group of islands in the Mediterranean. The islands in the national park are classified into two series: Kornatski and Piškerski. The name of the park comes from the Latin word corona which means a crown, and they were named after the largest island, the Kornat. Due to the beauty of the environment, the indentation, in 1980 it became a national park.
Telašćica bay is located in the south-eastern part of Dugi otok. It is surrounded by 13 islands, and contains 6 islands within the bay (Korotan, Galiota, Gozdenjak, Farfarikulac, Gornji Školj i Donji Školj). Telašćica is a nature park, full of wild animals and sea creatures. It was declared a nature park in 1988. The flora and fauna of the mainland and submarine consist of more than a hundred species.

DAY 3
The third day we were also on a boat, we saw the sea view of Šibenik and St. Nikola’s fortress. When we got to Zlarin we went to a coffee shop because it is very small but I liked it. We ate on the boat and the food was good. After that we went to Prvić where we visited Faust Vrančić museum. He invented the parachute. We were shown a short movie about him and his ideas. Back at the hotel we chatted and watched some TV. We had dinner. Since it was our last day, I took a dessert and it was great.
Laura K, part 1
My best day was the third day. We went to the islands Zlarin and Prvić. On the boat I played card games with Milja, Mario and Tolić. When we came to Zlarin, I jumped in the sea. I went to wake Tolić and Mario and we came back to the boat and went to Prvić and I did the same things like in Zlarin- swimming, but something was different – I wasn’t with Jerko, Đuro, Milja and others from the fourth grade. When we came back, we went to jump in the pool at our hotel and later I took a shower and came to the restaurant to eat dinner. When I finished with dinner I went with my class to the beach to have fun and I went to my hotel room to sleep and that is how I spent the day.

Faust Vrančić Museum and Memorial Centre
The Memorial Centre Faust Vrančić is a museum dedicated to Faust Vrančić, a famous Croatian inventor, lexicographer, polyglot, philosopher, theologian and historian during the renaissance in the mid-16th century in Dalmatia.
Faust Vrančić is famous for the invention and use of the first parachute and many other sketches and designs of bridges and mills a part of his book called New Machines. He also wrote a dictionary of the five most noble languages that included Croatian, Latin, German, Hungarian and Italian.
The Memorial Centre is located on the island Prvić, because it was where Faust Vrančić spent most of his childhood years, as it was his last resting place. In the Museum you can discover interesting facts about Faust Vrančić’s life, see models of his inventions and literary work, and find out why Faust Vrančić was a man ahead of his time as well as the reasons for considering him one of the few true renaissance men.

On the third day, we went to the island Zlarin. I went to visit my aunt and my other friends there. I went for a ride with my friend on her motorcycle. After Zlarin we went to the island Prvić. We visited the memorial museum of Faust Vrančić. On our last night we were at the beach and it was so much fun. Our last day we visited Šibenik and I went on another ride with my other friend. After Šibenik we went to Zadar and we ate there in Submarine. On our way back I was alone because my friend stayed in Zadar.
Chiara L., part 2
DAY 4
The last day was fun, after breakfast we headed to Šibenik where we had a local tour guide and took a walk. We were in St. James cathedral where we had to cover up our legs and shoulders but the inside is very nice. Our free time was kind of boring because there is not much to do but we went to Zadar next.
Laura K., part 2
Šibenik cathedral was beautiful. We had more free time and then we went to Zadar. There we also had a local tour guide. In Zadar, my friend and I went for lunch. I prolonged the whole weekend and stayed in Zadar until Sunday. It was very nice and I had a feeling like summer was not over yet.
Leona Š., part 2
Šibenik
Šibenik is a historic city in Croatia. Šibenik cathedral is one of the Dalmatian coast’s architectural highlights. It took more than 100 years to complete the cathedral. Also, you can visit the old town hall. It has beautiful large columns, arches and balustrade. The old town hall was built by Michelle Sanmicheli. The third nice place to visit in Šibenik is St. Johns Fortress. In the 16th century, Šibenik was one of the best protected cities. St. Johns Fortress is the city highest fortress. The fortress dates from 1646. When it was constructed to protect Šibenik from Turkish attacks. Next place that you can visit in Šibenik is The Church of St. Barbara. It is the nice little church. In the church you can see nice paintings dating from 14-18th centuries. You can also see a nice collection of sculptures. If you go to Šibenik it will be nice if you visit the count’s palace. This palace is just a short stroll from Šibenik cathedral. Today in the museum you can see many local archaeological artists from Neolithic to Roman times including sculptures and a coin collection from 7th century.

It was good in Zadar. We visited a lot of historical sights. After sightseeing, we went to eat lunch on our own and we went back to Zagreb. On our way back, we watched the game Dinamo-West Ham and it didn’t go well. We were in Zagreb around 9, or half past 9 and that was it. For me it was a very fun trip and I liked it.
